RIP t00bfone

So, paintobscura has been collected and is on a bus to Brighton as I type. But sadly, while she made it to London in one piece, the t00bfone, after a year of exemplary service in the hands of visiting American types, has passed on, after a short illness (i.e. it's refusing to switch on) and pending an autopsy, will be consigned to the great network in the sky.

In other news, it struck me on the way into the Hellmouth Uxbridge how happy buses make the elderly. When we hoved into view around a corner on the Hillingdon Road, their little faces lit up with joy and by the time the doors opened, one lady was practically bouncing. It felt nice to bring a little moderate comfort and a short sit down into their lives, in spite of the acid graffitti etched windows, which are provided courtesy of the little darlings at Chavbridge High.

Somewhere I have an old N7610 (which has a camera, natch!), if the current t00bphone is really really ded. Alternatively, someone could pick up a cheapie N1100 for £20 at a Carphone Warehouse. :D
