Amidst the plethora of people claiming not to be dead, it occurred to me that I've been a bit lax with the old blog just recently, and feel the need to make a drive-by posting and say hello.

In the last few weeks I have, variously:

  • Played a lot of Warcrack. My little night elf druid is now level 27 and doing quite nicely, and I'm so ashamed.

  • I went for a job interview last Wednesday for a very important financial services title in the City. I really liked it and I really want the job, and I'm hoping that came across during the discussion, but I have a sinking feeling that they didn't think the style of my current employer was right for them.

  • Last month, [livejournal.com profile] cassandraclare and [livejournal.com profile] protean came over, and there was much merriment and sampling of some new restaurants here and there, top of the bill was a rather spiffy Italian place in Primrose Hill, where I am thinking of going again, maybe for my birthday. It was great to catch up, especially as I've not seen them in well over two years. There was a surfeit of [livejournal.com profile] mistful, too, but I feel this is never a bad thing.

  • Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] malachan is in Chicago for the rest of the month, so I have sold his furniture and am renting the room to a Polish builder called Stanislav, who is turning it into an S&M dungeon.

In the future I will:

  • Play more Warcrack.

  • [livejournal.com profile] paintobscura comes in two days. This will be exciting. I always envy people seeing London for the first time.

  • Tomorrow I am going into town to cover an 'important announcement' from Red Hat. It had better be good

  • Get a £200 bonus at the end of the month, and then a pay rise following my review, which hopefully will be next week, after CeBIT. This will be much needed, as I have just been successfully wiped out by quarterly utility bills .. [livejournal.com profile] muffinbutt I'll see your $200 utility bill and raise you a $500 utility bill .. so as you can imagine I am feeling very poor indeed right now.

  • See Equus next Wednesday.

US. Lark did a VC run with Aegy's hunter.

But [livejournal.com profile] paintobscura and Aegy made characters on Llane and are in Browncoats. :)

Remember to tell Stanislav that load-bearing hooks should always be attached to joists.

Very glad you aren't dead, I need you to be breathing if I'm to crash on your sofa in 8 weeks. That still ok?

Also: Why didn't anyone tell me that Cyg is achieving his lifelong goal of sporting Beethoven's hair? *scarred*
