Ten things about 2007

1) I have acquired 20 more channels over Christmas and there is nothing on any of them. This is not surprising. Although the other day I chanced upon a re-run of The Crystal Maze.
2) Having said that, I wish More4 would make the cuts it insists on making to The Daily Show less glaringly obvious. I'm aware there's no point having an in-show trail for The Colbert Report as they don't screen it here, but as a consequence the commercial break in the middle is at least seven minutes long.
3) Happy New Year.
4) Ugly Betty is amazingly good, although I am flummoxed to understand exactly why the editorial staff of a magazine were devising a marketing campaign in episode one.
5) I have not got started on the new season of Desperate Housewives yet because for various reasons I am still working my way through season 2. I understand Kyle McLachlan is in it.
6) That's enough TV.
7) There is some kind of lump in my throat, it is screaming 'I am some kind of swollen gland and very soon I will make you suffer' at me.
8) Last night I dreamed I was being attacked by webwood lurkers. I blame paintobscura.
9) The sauce on the Quiznos chicken teriyaki sub bares no resemblance to teriyaki sauce.
10) Today's top 3 searches on the BBC homepage are jokes, Belfast and Rolf Harris.
