IMO you'll only really need to worry when he/she starts singing "Afternoon Delight".
I can remember that song being played endlessly on the radio while visiting relatives in the Netherlands that summer. I swear the damned DJ only had 6 records to play. When a 7-or 8-year-old gets tired of a song...that's serious playlist overload!
