On a day like this, all bets sartorial conventions are off. (At least, if the people you work with have anything about them.)

Sadly for the people who work outside the control room at the power station, temperatures into the thirties are not regarded as good excuses to remove fireproof top layers of safety clothing. I think you can safely wear as little as you dare underneath it, though :-)

Not unless you're the flagman on a road crew. And even those guys wear long trousers, come to think of it...

I'm thinking more about clown suit for work attire. Or perhaps a ship captain's uniform.
