I think Tom and Katy should have called the kid Booze.

Wireless router died a death on Saturday, so I am online through the magic of peer-to-peer wireless connections, meaning [livejournal.com profile] malachan's computer has to be switched on, connected wirefully to the Internets, and static. As [livejournal.com profile] malachan runs one of those nifty notebook things and I have a steam-powered desktop, I feel I got the better deal here. Thrrrp.

Those wireless router thingies don't seem to have fantastic life expectancy :-/

I'm on my third...

Wireless routers suck, but I must say I was impressed by the peer to peer network you guys whipped up. I probably would have just whined and moaned and never thought of that.

For 'you guys' read Lowell. I too would have whined and moaned and never thought of that.

The trouble with outsourcing your tech support to a remote provider boyfriend is that you have to wait forever for on-site support when something goes wrong. Happily he does weekend callouts.

(I'm really sorry for the three comment notifications you're getting. I lose at LJ tags)

ahahahaha but I love you anyway. :D

And yes, convenient outsourcing that makes household weekend calls is a definite plus.

I hate wireless routers. I've never had ONE that just worked reliably and properly. My current router knocks me offline whenever my phone (landline) rings. WTF?

Will you be around this weekend (specifically Saturday, I'm thinking) for t00bery? :D Chris and I arrive in London in the mid-afternoon on Thursday.

Nope, our train gets in at 2-something on Thursday. I think we're t00bing off to Oxford on Friday afternoon and night, though, but we'll be in London at all other times - Thursday afternoon and evening, Friday morning, and all day Saturday and Sunday. We have absolutely no plans other than to t00b around with nice folks, really, and Kristen is leaving Sunday morning, so we thought that Saturday might be a good day for lots of assorted t00bery. Whenever is good for you, I would love to see you!! :D

Oh, I wouldn't like to intrude, Meg. Apparently my so-called friends are in the habit of arranging mini-t00bages without bothering to ask me if I'd even like to show up for a quick drink, so it's probably better I don't bother any of you guys.

Oh, gosh, no! I mean, we have specifically not made any plans so that we can just hang out with people as they are available! I would really like to see you, if you're free. It's been ever so long since PoA in NYC, you know. :) My knees haven't been quite so drunk in ages. ;)

We're staying in Kensington, so we could meet up somewhere, or come round to your place, or you could come round to ours (though it's a hotel, so not terribly interesting!) - whatever works. We'll have Chris's mobile while we're there - the number is 07914 608 765. Just give us a call and we'll sort out plans. :)

You and I both, sweetie. I am perpetually the last to know anything. :)

I think the margaritas made my knees drunk, but you'd have to ask [livejournal.com profile] wordplay to make sure.

I'll see you this weekend for sure, then. *nods* Email me your mobile number, just in case? meganrose@gmail.com . :)

Wah! Wait, I though you knew and had tube issues?

You are always welcome wherever I am, b00.

I didn't know a thing, nobody said anything. Also tube was fixed by time I left work, just running slowly.

Re. my comment to Meg, though - I'm sorry, I got really pissed off and bored last night and I should have frozen or deleted that comment. I am okay now. Weeble. We see you Saturday?

Hello *waves*. I wandered over here via a comment you made on [livejournal.com profile] hermorrine's journal and wound up reading a few of your posts. Would you mind if I friended you?
