This is going to make me seem like I'm about 45.

But can someone tell me why the kids are wearing baseball caps with the shop tags attached?

Has anybody thought to tell them they look like wankers?

The Metro I picked up on the Tube ride to work this morning had a very good fashion spread in it, condemning, among other things, those hideous ugg boots, and ladies who tuck their jeans into said boots.

'Do they not realise,' the article read, 'that it makes them look like 70s hookers?'

Can't say I've ever seen the tags on caps phenomenon. I am however quite familiar with the "Ugg Boot" craze, and it's prophecized successor, the Valenki.

But at least you don't have the girls who wear jogging pants or yoga pants with said ugg boots (in colours including but not limited to baby blue, bubblegum pink, and burnt orange), and tuck the legs of their grotty gym wear into them. That is just nauseating.

We do have those grotty brightly coloured tracksuits - generally with something like 'SLUT' or 'BROOKLYN' written across the butt?

I have never seen them paired with an ugg boot, however.

You'd think he'd be made of stronger stuff, but no. All weepy.

If it's not ugg boots it's something else. He reminds me of me in my younger day.

Ugg boots, world peace, not being able to pull off the long hair look (it's tired)...

But your icon makes baby Jesus happy. :)

(I just spent two weeks in the company of an LJer's cat. It seemed pleasant enough at first, but then the litterbox went unemptied for several days... I am very anti-cat at present.)

And how. Now that we've been cat-free for four months, you can barely smell cat on our mattress (which she pissed on about eighteen months ago) or on the chair under which she tended to lurk.

I *like* cats, but a scaredy-cat with a dicky bladder and soft furnishings do not go.

Feel free to steal the icon, and I feel your pain. I have to change the cat box tonight, and I am so not looking forward to it.

shop tags attached so it looks like they pinched the thing?

either that, or they pinched the thing and are too thick to remove the tag

Or are being paid by topman.

Even if I could walk a lot in my boots ( still getting the hang of heels ), I would not put them with trousers !

I'm sad to say I know this (thanks to working with so many proponents of Da Thug Life). They leave the tag on so everyone can see how expensive it was *sigh*.

Hi, btw :). Came to you via [livejournal.com profile] folk.

In a perversely satisfying way, that makes sense.

Hello to you, too.

Tucking jeans into any kind of boots = hideous.
(Tucking jeans into wellies when gardening is okay, but then you do it for practical reasons, not because you think it looks good...)

Oh, it's excusable for wellies. But as long as your wellies are the green rubber kind, like the Queen wears.

I would wear them if I could get some with a zip on the side.

I love red.

I used to have little red wellies, actually. They work if you're four and adorable. Or Paddington.

My sisters and I used to try and wear our Paddington's boots, with varying degrees of success.

I'm sort of amazed that Uggs are still around, as they were the big new thing around me six years ago.

I used to have little red wellies when very small (3ish). When I grew out of them, my mum made me a Paddington so that he could continue to wear them.
