Got to thinking. Further to my weebly experience in the Picadilly Circus HMV earlier today, I find there are no DVDs I actually care about enough to really want to have.

I've become a pretty nifty budgeter over the last two years or so, and I'm very good at picking something up, going 'How much do I want this, how often will I use it, how much value will it really bring to me and what is wrong with not having it at all?' So I have lost the knack of being a consumer whore, and when it comes to having a gift certificate that wants spending, it's very hard for me to figure out what to get.

Therefore, I solicit your DVD recommendations ...

I have the same trouble trying to find ways to spend free money, and here we sit with a $100 gift card to Best Buy and no really obvious way to use it. I always have this problem - I often feel like I can't afford to buy some XYZ that I 'want', but then when I *have* money that's earmarked just for my spending, I can't seem to find anything that's worthwhile. Now I just hold onto the gift cards, and eventually something will scream out to be bought and that's very cool. So maybe you'll have Christmas in April or something - it's nice.

My rec is based on your note about having more Queer films. My buddy D was obsessed with this movie for quite a long while. Plus it has Timothy Olyphant (of Deadwood and "hot drug dealer in Go" fame), Zach Braff, and Dean Cain!

Wow, I really need a Timothy Olyphant icon.
