Kirsty GIP
Aug. 14th, 2005 05:40 pmIt occurred to me that having had the Kirsty theme running through my journal for about 18 months now, that to not have a Kirsty icon was actually pretty damn sinful, and at about the same time it occurred to me that I really have no idea why I am using an icon of one of British Airways' old 'ethnic' tailfins as my default, so away with it and here is Kirsty with a cigar instead.
Icons are love, yes indeed.
Packing news. Have bundled pretty much my entire wardrobe, less underwear and socks and stuff that I need for work this week, into two bulging suitcases. I've also boxed up all my magazines - National Geographics going back to 1998 and various homosexualist rags that I've picked up over the years. I may ditch them eventually, but I'm keeping the Geographics. I have also shredded a whole bunch of papers that I no longer need and thrown out even more random stuff. It is quite incredible how much stuff was actually in my room - if there had ever been a fire I would have burned to a crisp. It is quite refreshing, being rid of the detritus of twenty-three years - I'm realising there's no room to be sentimental over things like I was before - I freely admit I'm a bit of a hoarder, but by Friday I will be a new, slimmed down me. And I don't feel quite so downhearted as I was this morning; I may have itty bitty living space but with that comes phenomenal cosmic power, as is my understanding.
