Pretty! I've never seen London in the snow - the few times I've caught snow in the UK at all, I was up north. And after Victoria got 2 blizzards + a hurricane, I've stopped questioning the vagaries of weather in 2006/7. It's just odd.
No, we have sleeping bag, spare pillow and air mattress pad thingie if you so wish it.
I can't get off work until about 2 and it will take me maybe forty five minutes to an hour to get into town. Is there anywhere in particular you think you will be, or should we just pick a reasonably central tube station?
I dunno. Where do you guys usually meet up? Lucy will be with me, so that will make communication reasonably easy in case sms won't suffice. :)) Unless we all want to go to a museum together or something, I should think reasonably central and warm will do? XD
Anything German you want me to bring? (Nothing heavy, please...)
Anywhere central is fine. You're probably going to be fairly laden with luggage, so maybe I should text Lucy and find out where you are when the time comes so as I don't have you running all over town? NB; we'll be meeting Lowell at some point but I don't know yet what time he's leaving Brighton.
The alternative option is to meet you at my tube stop so you can dump stuff at the flat and not be burdened, but that would mean getting out of the city centre and there's a fifteen minute walk from flat to station, so that's really up to you, but if bags are too heavy it's no problem for me.
I don't know if you had one on your last trip, but if you don't already you should buy an Oyster card for the underground, you'll pay a lot less money than if you buy paper tickets - for a single tube ride in the city centre you'll pay £1.50 ( ~ €2.30) instead of £4.00 ( ~ €6). Alternatively I have one that some unknown houseguest left behind before which you're welcome to, or you can give to Drae or Ina or somebody for future use. There may even still be some money on it ;)
But the landscape makes up for it in natural beauty. All I've ever seen of Northumberland I saw from an Intercity on the way to Edinburgh and it was amazing.
I'll bring as little luggage as possible, the laptop stays home, as does the pod, and I'll only bring one book for studying and all other entertainment will be on the palm. I might need an extra bag for the Lush stuff I am planning on buying on the way back, though. XD
