A piece to this effect already appeared in today's Grauniad, but I am still endlessly amused by the Marks and Sparks Christmas ads, which feature an elderly Welsh granny [Miss Shirley Bassey, if you were wondering], selling deeply unflattering clothes to middle class conservatives by singing a Pink song about dropping ecstasy.

Oh, it's a funny old world, and no mistake.

On the good side, M and S is one of the very few places where I can find clothes that are comfy and that I can put on easily. It's not good for bras but otherwise, it is one of the most important sources of clothes for me.
