Disappearing into a terrace has its appeal as well. I love terraces - lived in some beautiful ones in Brighton. Would you ever consider gutting the interior of an old two-up two-down and giving it a modernist design inside whilst preserving the Victorian shell? That also appeals to me given the cost of finding a suitable site - bespoke houses demand exciting sites - and the sheer cost of designing a property from the ground up is rather prohibitive.
