A Wii problem
Jan. 17th, 2007 08:19 pmThere was an article in this morning's Metro (and while I was on the subject, is it just me or has Nemi got really sub-par just lately) about some dude in Philadelphia who got a Wii and promptly lost nine pounds on it, and he dropped his waist size from 34 inches to 31 inches. There were before and after pictures, taken in a mirror with a digital camera like so many MySpace profiles.
I have decided I need to have a Wii, as the only exercise I get is walking to and from the station every morning and I am too lazy to join a gym. I did actually once join a gym, but it was the Sussex University one and I could get in for something like £3.00 at the time. And now I am poor and can't afford the £15,284.76 that a month on the treadmill at Holmes Place will set me back. It's depressing, I was poor as a student but now I'm noticing it even more.
I poked my head into HMV in Uxbridge today and the Wiis had all sold out, but the guide price seems to be about £250.
However, I am saving up for other things right now, so I now need to make a decision on what my big purchase this year will be:
1) A laptop, possibly but increasingly unlikelily a Mac.
2) Plane tickets to the US.
3) A Wii.
Option one is sounding good, because then I can buy Warcrack and destroy my social life, saving me lots of money. And it will also mean I can move around the house and not sit at the back of the house where the wireless keeps .......................

Option two would ensure the ongoing healthfulness of my social life in terms of seeing friends and maybe doing some cheap shopping and so on and so forth, but I would have to surrender my fingerprints and a DNA sample to the FBI to gain entry. And I am led to believe that option three will give me a hunky gym toned body without any real effort.
