Bavaria's best music mix
Nov. 7th, 2006 07:19 amIt's a crispy, frosty day in Munich, but the sun's up and the bus radio was apparently playing Bavaria's Best Music Mix. Who knew that Bavaria's Best Music Mix includes both Hero by Chad Kroeger and Madge's singularly excerable 1998 version of American Pie?
The reception was kind of rubbish, but there was a good beer selection and I was able to fill up on canapes. Then I caught up with an old PR contact who I met in Copenhagen earlier in the year, and we headed back into Munich on the U-Bahn instead of waiting for the press bus. It was either that or stand around with a beer and a little plate of California rolls for another hour not talking to anybody.
The hotel was ... is ... very nice, and has very comfy beds. I half agreed to go out for a drink with some of the other hacks, but I ended up collapsing into bed pretty damn quickly.
Also, the best thing in the world ever is the German version of Pimp My Ride.
